Tiffany Davis

image606

Tiffany Davis, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed by the State of Tennessee since November 1997. She has been working in the field since completing graduate school in 1995.

Her educational background includes a BA in Psychology from Vanderbilt University, and a MSSW from University of Texas, Child and Family Concentration.

Tiffany began work at a community mental health center, Centerstone, in the school-based counseling program.  She worked with elementary and middle age students, some placed at a severe behavior intervention school.

Her direct practice work at Centerstone included conducting individual and group therapy sessions, and working with families in a case management capacity. She also worked closely with school staff, participating in IEP meetings, and school trainings. Soon after earning her license, she became a supervisor in the school-based counseling program, managing staff and leading clinical supervision.

Eager to return to full time clinical work, she joined Counseling Associates of Mt. Juliet in 2007.  In July 2019, she moved her practice to Nashville.  She works with children age 4- 18, as well as adults. Her approach is eclectic, drawing upon a variety of theoretical approaches including systems, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic and psycho educational.   She believes mental health is equally important as physical well-being, and that a multi-prong approach (anchored by the therapeutic relationship) is available and accessible for all clients.

In 2013, she was trained in Collaborative Divorce and is a member of Middle Tennessee Collaborative Alliance. She has served as coach on several collaborative teams. In addition, in 2017 she received additional training in the child specialist role. Post Divorce Peace is collaboration with colleague, Jennifer Salas, and a diversification of her clinical work combined with specific divorce training.
